LiveHerz — Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the LiveHerz mobile app ("the app", "we", "us"), a student-living platform for the Herzliya / Reichman University community: housing listings, sublets, roommate matching, a student marketplace, services, and events. By creating an account or using the app you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Who can use LiveHerz

• You must be at least 18 years old.
• You must sign in with an email address you control. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account, and for keeping the one-time codes we send you to yourself.
• We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.

What LiveHerz is, and is not

LiveHerz is a place for students, landlords, brokers, sellers and service providers to find each other. We are not a party to any rental agreement, sublet, sale, service contract or roommate arrangement made between users. We do not own, inspect or guarantee any apartment, item or service listed in the app, and we do not verify the identity of every user. Always view a place before paying, meet in public places for marketplace hand-overs, and never send money to someone you have not met.

Your content

• You keep ownership of the listings, posts, profiles, photos and messages you create. You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, display and distribute that content inside the app so the service can work.
• You confirm that you have the right to post what you post, including photos of a property or item, and that it is accurate and not misleading.
• We may remove content that breaks these terms, the law, or the community rules below, and we may hold new posts for review before they appear.

Community rules

Do not use the app to:

• post listings, items or services that are fake, misleading, illegal, or that you are not entitled to offer;
• discriminate against people on the basis of religion, ethnicity, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, disability or similar grounds, in listings, roommate profiles or messages;
• harass, threaten, impersonate or deceive other users, or collect their personal data;
• send spam, advertise unrelated products, or contact users for purposes other than the listing, item or service you are messaging about;
• upload malicious code, scrape the app, or interfere with how it works;
• post explicit, violent or hateful content.

Every post and profile has a report option. Reports and blocks are reviewed by us and may lead to removal of content or of the account responsible.

Brokers and landlords

Brokers and landlords who list rentals are responsible for the accuracy of their listings, for disclosing any fees before an agreement, and for complying with Israeli law on brokerage and rental contracts. Broker fees, if any, are shown on the listing as provided by the broker and are agreed between you and the broker, not with us.

Marketplace, sublets and services

Prices, availability, condition, and delivery or pickup arrangements are set by the user who posts. Payments happen outside the app, directly between users. We do not process payments, offer buyer protection, or mediate disputes, although we may act on reports of abuse.

Messages and notifications

Messages you send through the app are delivered to the other user and stored so the conversation can be shown to both sides. We may send you push notifications and emails about your account and your activity; you can turn notification types off inside the app.

Ending your use

You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Settings → Delete account, which removes your profile, posts and uploaded media. We can suspend or terminate access if you break these terms or if we need to protect other users or the service.

Changes to the app and to these terms

The app changes as the product evolves; features may be added, changed or removed. We may update these terms; the "Last updated" date above shows the latest revision, and continued use after a change means you accept it. Material changes will be announced in the app.

Disclaimer and liability

The app is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by law we make no warranties about availability, accuracy of user content, or fitness for a particular purpose, and we are not liable for losses arising from agreements or transactions between users, from user content, or from interruptions of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, and the competent courts of Tel Aviv have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
